How we got here!

In 2004, Cakes Creatively by Crystal officially became a business. What started as a hobby, soon became a part time and then a second full time job for owner Crystal Alward. While working as a teacher in Family and Consumer Science, Crystal would create wedding cakes for roughly 100 engaged couples every year to play a role in making their dream wedding become a reality. 
In 2017, it was time to expand. Porter's Coffee House and Bakery (www.porterscoffeeandbakery.com) opened its doors in March of 2019. Although the parent company is Cakes Creatively by Crystal, Porter's is our store front name. Open daily to patrons, serving coffee, pastries, sandwiches and of coarse cakes. 
Our wedding cakes are all about you, designed especially for you and your special day. Choose from a variety of  flavors and fillings to impress you and all of your guests. Here we are now in 2020! So much has changed. We have grown and times are different. Its time to make some adjustments. So glad to say we are now taking wedding cake orders again! Our process though, it looks a bit different. Change is good and we are excited for what the future holds. We are now offering our most popular designs in 3 different sizes. We are unfortunately no longer offering delivery but we have simplified our ordering making it so much easier and less stressful in the booking process and catering to a more intimate seeking client.  We are no longer offering in person consultations/ tasting, but we do have tasting boxes.
